Therapy for Moms

Motherhood is a lot to navigate. Sometimes, you just need a place to talk about it.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected from yourself, or stretched thin by everything motherhood asks of you. Maybe your relationships have changed, you’re struggling with your identity, or you’re trying to figure out how to care for everyone else without losing sight of yourself.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely overwhelmed to reach out for support.

Sometimes you just need space to slow down and make sense of it all.

Support for the Many Seasons of Motherhood

Therapy for moms can help you navigate:

Anxiety, overwhelm & the mental load — when your brain never seems to turn off.

Identity & self-worth — adjusting to who you are as a mom while staying connected to who you are as a person.

Relationships & partnership — navigating changes in connection, communication, intimacy, and expectations after having kids.

Parenting & emotional overwhelm — understanding your own reactions and patterns so you can respond to your children in ways that feel more aligned with who you want to be.

Life transitions — pregnancy, postpartum, returning to work, growing your family, changing roles, or simply finding yourself in a new season.

Postpartum & perinatal mental health — support for anxiety, depression, adjustment, and the emotional changes that can come with pregnancy and early motherhood.

Understanding What’s Happening Beneath the Surface

Motherhood can bring up more than you expected—including old patterns, insecurities, relationship wounds, and parts of yourself you haven’t had to think about in a long time.

In therapy, we can slow down and get curious about what’s underneath the overwhelm. Using an IFS-informed approach, we can explore the parts of you that may feel anxious, critical, overwhelmed, or like you have to hold everything together—and better understand what those parts need.

We’ll also use ACT to explore what matters most to you and how you want to show up as a mom, partner, and person. Together, we’ll identify what you need and find ways to respond that actually serve you and move you toward the life you want.

Therapy isn’t about becoming a more perfect mom.

It’s about understanding yourself, making space for your needs, and learning how to care for yourself while caring for everyone else.

You can love your kids deeply and feel overwhelmed. You can be grateful and need support. You can love motherhood and still miss parts of your old life.

All of those things can be true.

Consider this your permission slip to talk about you.

If motherhood has left you feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure of where you fit in the mix, therapy can give you some space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
